IM A FRESHMANNNNNNNN :D

FRESHMAN ORIENTATION AT UCDAVIS! weeeeeeeee :D but before that,

july 7th- Woke up to my cell phone under my covers with 6 new messages and 6 missed calls. Oops hehehehe :p Most of the texts and calls were from Willy Boy trying to guess what GLMS stood for :D, which is Guys Love My Slave HAHAHA nice one! And the other text was from Dinh, asking if my phone ran out of batteries bcuz i wasnt picking up.. hahah no, it's because Iwas sleeping :P Anywhos, I got up and got ready, got picked up by Dinh, bought snacks at Oceans, and we both got YanYan! <3
*******OMG stupid blogger just deleted an entire paragraph of what i typed -______- fml********
So we drove to MHS to pick up Alberto. As we waited in the parking lot for blind-o Wilson to come, we saw him drop off his brother and totally drive away haha LOSER so I called his ass to turn back so we could all go eat ramen at MARU ICHIs! Not as good as I remembered, but it was filling :P After eating, we went to Albertos house to watch National Treasure 2! What a great movie :D HAHA I love movies that have spinoffs of history. History+comedy, what a great combo lololol jk. But I do like Night at the Museum :D After the movie, Dinh and I went to Kohls where I bought boxers and a bathrobe (which I don't need.. must return) I went home to find that my dad wasnt back with my car yet, :'[, so I took my aunts car to go to the mall again to find cheaper stuff heh. Came out unsuccessful so off to Target I went in my search of cheap stuff. Haha of course I ended up buying stuff, no need to ask :P Started packing once I got home. I couldn't finish though because there were some stuff I still had to use the next morning :p

july8th- Woke up at 8, showered, got ready, opened the door for WillyBoy to drop off my towel and sunscreen... stealer..., finished packing, picked up Diana, and drove up to Davis! Got there in about an hour and a half.. not badd :] That made us pretty early so we decided to find the TacoBell on campus. BAD IDEAAA without a map!! We walked in a huge circle for like more than half an hour when we couldve just went through a straight path that would take like 5 min. LAMEEE -_- So after eating, (TacoBell at Davis doesnt have the dollar value menu or any of the Fruitistas! :o) we went back to the Tercero dorms to check in and get our key for the dorm rooms! I walked in thinking it was a double, but it was acutally a triple. Apparently my two roommates had already put their stuff in the dorms and had left me with the last bed.. the top bunk without railing -_-. Oh well. So all 500+ of us freshman walked over to a science lecture hall and started orientation! We were assigned advisors to help us choose our classes and whatnot. Later that night, we ate dinner at the Dining Hall. Omg the Dining Hall is amazing. It's like a food court buffet xD It's delicioussssss I think I could go a whole month of their food before getting sick of it :D I really should've taken a picture of it! Oh speaking of picturesssss... back to the dorms! I thought I would be getting a double but I got a triple. Diana got lucky and got a double though, and weirdly they were the same size. How unfair for the triple room :p Anyways
both were furnished with a dresser, a desk, and a wardrobe. Not bad! But I don't want these dorms anyways :P There were kitchens and laundry rooms on the first floor too. Later that night, we headed on over to the ARC, the coolio gym and recreation center that they built a couple of years backk. They have the cycling bike with a screen attached in front of it, so it's basically like a friggen arcade game. Must try that out when I go back xD There were games of volleyball, basketball, and dodgeball going on as well as people giving henna tatooes in some other room. Got free t-shirts as we walked back to our dorms :) As I hung out in my room, me and my roommates were totally starvingggg and thirsty! There were no sorces of food available in our dorms so it was pretty saddening. Haha :P Me and Nikita walked around campus to find a vending machine but we failed. There was a soda vending machine on the first floor of my building but it was sold out. Ooommmgggg :'[ crycry. Soooo with nothing else to do, my roommates just went to sleep. They climbed into bed as I was texting so I had to turn off the light and stumble my way through the pitchblack room, climb up the bunk bed, and go to sleep. Or at least try to :[

july 9th- Woke up at like 3, 4, and 5:55am in the morning -_- It was freezing and uncomfortable but I had to get up at 6:30 anyways so it was easy to wake up. Went to breakfast with Diana and her roommate, and started looking through our course catalogue to try to pick classes! It's such a confusing processs, theres so many things to consider and theres soo many classes that you don't know what you should or shouldnt take x[ So I was basically freaking out during that time, trying to pick up to 20 possible classes.. which was IMpossible arggg. At 10, I went over to the science lecture hall again to take a chemisty placement exam. Tooooottalllyy bombed that thing, and I knew I did :P I almost fell asleep just reading the questions heh. For the next SEVEN hours, there were 785273045 sessions talking about internships, financial aid, student services, housing, etcetc in the same science lecture hall (there was lunch inbetween of course, at the amazing dining hall :D) I totally fell asleep during the first to last session about student health so I decided to skip the last session and go back to the dorms to take a shower :P I have to say, that's what I loved most about orientation. We were given full responsibility to choose what we wanted to do with our time. We weren't given any restrictions or curfews; they treated us like real students :P Whereas Polycultural Weekend at CalPoly made me feel like a little kid -_- Anywhos, went to dinner, talked with our advisors again to continue working on our schedules, andd then had this night time activity thing where there were poker games, board games, movies playing, and bowling. Diana, Nikita, and I opted to watch the movie; Paul Blart Mall Cop. We didnt get to finish because we had to leave, but it seemed like a stupid movie to me.. it was funny and all but it wasn't well made. We started our longg walk back to the dorms in the creepy silent streets of the Davis campus.. it's really creepy..and it was really cold at the time -_- Both of my roommates were already in bed, again, when I got back so I brushed my teeth and went to bed. It was a tiring day, even though the only thing I felt like I really did was eat and sit. LOL

july 10th- Woke up at 7, slept a lotttt better than the night before. Packed up and said my farewells to my roommatesss awwwwww :[ lol jk not really. Returned my room key, checked out, and dropped me and diana's bags in the car. After having breakfast, we finally signed up for our classes! After two days of pouring over the thick ass course catalogue as well as the other two books that they gave us about picking classes, I made up my perfect schedule :D BUT of course I didn't get it -________- The classes I wanted were completely filled by other students already. BOOOOO. So the classes I have to take now areee: Calculus for BioSci, Workload Chem(which is like remedial chem since I totally failed that placement test), California Geography(wtf right -_-), and some writing class. Yikes! There are so many different requirements that we have to fulfill and things we have to keep track of for the next four years ah! Welps, my fall quarter schedule is acutally pretty cool. So different from high school xD I don't have class until 4pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays! haha! But my latest class ends at 8 on Tuesdays :P So it's pretty coool. After doing a whole bunch of other stuff likeee reserving books and taking surveys, we went to lunch and ate for the last time at the dining halls :[ lolol I will be back of course, in the fall mwahha. Lots of people left for home after that, but Diana and I walked all the way to the bookstore to buy UCD gear!! :D The bookstore was TOTALLY PACKEDD! I walked out with a sweater, shorts, an alumni shirt for my cousin since she LOVESS ucdavis, oh goodness, andd 80 bucks less on my card :[ They obviously overcharge. But I happily walked back to the car with my new gear and drove home :D Got home and found that my dad fixed my bike tire and installed my rear bike rack yaayy thanks dad! But the bike rack obviously didnt fit my bike... so it was all weirdd.... thereforeee we took it apart and I helped my dad put it back on. I still don't think its right.. but whatever -_- we couldnt do anymore to it anyways. :P
Oh, what I wanted to say about orientation, or any event for that matter: Dont stick with your friend the entire time -_-. If you stick with your friend, you'll be way less likely to meet new people and to try new things. I stuck with Diana most of the time so I really didnt meet any new friends n stuff :p I'm not saying I regret doing that, but even though I would feel so much more comfortable hanging with people I already know, I need to learn to branch out and do stuff on my own :P
ANYWHOS, I am suuuuuuuper excited to start school now! :D
